Description
Pink Pampas Grass forms large and impressive clumps 5 to 7 feet high and wide with large, feathery pink plumes in late summer and persisting but changing to a buff color through winter to add appeal in the winter landscape. The plumes are excellent for use in fresh or dried floral arrangements. Pampas grass is tolerant of salt spray so a fine choice for coastal landscapes.
Landscape & Garden Uses
Growing in a large, grassy mound 6 to 7 feet tall and nearly as wide, Pink Pampas Grass is ideal for use as a specimen, in groupings, or to form a natural barrier in sunny landscape borders. It looks especially nice near lakes and other bodies of water, to frame entryways, or to frame corners or fill open walls in home foundation plantings. It makes for a nice solo or centerpiece in large containers of 18 inches or more in rim diameter. A fine addition to ornamental grass gardens, pink theme gardens, seaside gardens, and the Xeriscape (low water needs).
Suggested Spacing:Ā Space 5 to 6 feet apart for hedges; 12 feet or more apart for space between plants
Note:Ā Ā For our customers who live and garden north of Ā USDA Plant Hardiness Zone 7a, where this Pampas Grass variety is not reliably winter hardy, you’ll be happy to know it can be grown in large containers of 16 inches or more in rim diameter that can be brought indoors during winter and placed back outside when temperatures warm up in spring.Ā
Growing Preferences
Pampas Grass is very easy to grow and is not fussy about soil type provided the soil is well drained. Though a little shade is tolerated pampas loves as much sun as you can give it. seven hours of sun per day is suggested. Pampas Grass is tolerant of salt spray so a great choice for plantings near the sea.

It is too early to rate the mature plant however the plant was packaged well and arrived in great shape. One point of forward thinking was that the plant was ordered Wednesday prior to the Fourth of July weekend. Rather than shipping it Thursday or Friday it was delayed until Tuesday. I appreciated that attention to detail to keep it out of the shipping company’s hands for five days.———————————————We are so glad you are pleased and we hope you enjoy it for years to come! The order got here quickly, in fact, it was pouring down rain when they left it at my gate, it was packaged perfectly, I was very impressed with that, and the plants were as big as anything I could have bought at the nursery near me, except they never have pink pampas grass,. It’s planted and doing great, it will look beautiful with my white and natural grasses when they all bloom. I would highly recommend buying from Wilson Brothers.——————————————-We are so glad you are pleased and we hope you enjoy them for years to come! I found Wilson Bros. on the internet and decided I would take a chance. Because of my past experiences with ordering plants from the internet I wasn’t optimistic. What a pleasant surprise when I received my order and opened the box. The plants were packed so well, and they were alive and in wonderful shape. Honestly, that has never happened before on any of my internet plant orders. As a landscape designer, Wilson Bros. is making me look good. I have placed two more orders since and will be placing more. Can’t wait till spring! —————————— WBG Reply: Hi Heather – Thanks so much for your review of the Pink pampas Grass and for your compliments.
